Description
Rare! Tabletop easel made from wood advertising Budweiser beer. Very heavy-duty. This is from 1933, with an illustration of two jockeys battling for the win on their horses. A bottle and pilsner glass of Budweiser is in the foreground, along with what looks like a cheese sandwich on rye and a pickle! The illustration was done by Donald Mills (it is signed near the lower right of the image). Donald Mills was a noted illustrator of the time. The copy reads, "There is only one Budweiser, King of Bottled Beer, Today, as always...brewed and fully aged in the World's Largest Brewery."Sign is in good condition...especially considering its age. There is no major damage. Lamination finish does have some scuff marks, but no major damage or deep scratches. There is a small spot of silver paint near the G in "KING"...and a splotch of silver paint of the back of the sign. Please review photos carefully.
