    Description

    These sets are brand new in their factory boxes and include the following:
    IC-GM1600E transceiver w/ antenna
    BP-252 rechargeable battery pack
    charging cradle with power supply (European two-prong power plug)
    neck strap
    belt clip
    ferrite core
    user manual and misc documentation
    I believe the "E" on the end of the model number simply designates that this is the European version, and I believe the power cable is the only difference between the IC-GM1600E and IC-GM1600.  All other specifications appear identical (TX/RX range of 156.300-156.875).
    With that in mind, if you live in the US, you'll need to either buy an adapter for the European two-prong plug, or use a different power supply altogether.
    Also, as stated on the box, the requirements of GMDSS survival craft radio require the optional BP-234 battery pack.  If you need GMDSS certification, you'll need to purchase the BP-234 separately from another dealer.
