Santa Ornament blanks - Basswood Woodcarving Blank

Description

These are Basswood blanks for carving your own Santa ornaments - they are intended to be carved as no-see-um's - meaning with hat covering the eyes
All blanks are of a similar shape, but not the exact shape,  cut from Basswood, each are about 4 inch to 5 inch high, about 1 3/4 inches wide. They are thickest at the nose and taper from about 3/4  inch thick to almost nothing at the beard tip.    Some will have the
ball on the left, the right or the top and some have no ball

You do NOT receive the painted ornament. Note the

- but a pattern has been drawn on them all.

Tools I use to carve this are a knife, 1/4 inch  #9, a 3/16 inch V tool, and a 1.5 mm U gouge for the fur on hat or if I am doing several at once I use the Dremel with a diamond ball for the fur.   I don't use a pattern, hand drawing each design on the wood and then cutting  out the shape so each one is slightly different in design and size.
