**RARE ** 24th U. S. VICE PRESIDENT HOBART Signed Railroad BondGARRET AUGUSTUS HOBART (1844 -1899):
Lawyer,
President McKinley’s Vice President in 1896. Both men died in office! Hobart died in 1899 and McKinley was
assassinated in 1901!! This became known as
“THE DEATH TICKET”,
New Jersey General Assembly & Senate, Corporate lawyer, banker and Railroader, etc. Hobart’s death made way for New York Governor Teddy Roosevelt to run with McKinley and become President when McKinley was killed!
Bold
